About the course

This course equips students to confidently articulate design ideas, tackle real-world graphic communication challenges, and build a comprehensive portfolio. Through practical projects in digital and print media, such as brand campaigns, e-books, magazines, music packaging, newspapers, pictograms, wayfinding systems, websites, and mobile apps, participants learn design principles and user-centered approaches. A hands-on exploration of design history via renowned collections enhances the experience.Students develop communication skills through project reports, presentations, essays, and a final-year dissertation, fostering research, problem-solving, and client interaction for a competitive edge in the job market. Options include studying abroad, collaborating on research, and benefiting from small-group teaching, accessible tutors, 24-hour studios, and a top-10 ranking (6th in the UK for graphic design, Guardian University Guide 2024).
