Our BA Education Studies course offers a unique and insightful exploration of key educational issues. It examines contemporary debates across various contexts, including sociology (focusing on society, social justice, inclusion, inequalities, sustainability, and global perspectives), creativity (emphasising the arts in diverse environments and settings), and psychology (covering theories of learning and child and adolescent development). The programme provides opportunities to connect theory with practice through educational visits, guest speakers, and placements, helping students develop practical skills that are highly valued by employers.Core modules include Creative Learning Through the Arts, Education for Inclusion, Psychology and Theories of Learning, Sociology, Education and Social Justice, and Contextualising Creative Learning through the Arts. These modules are provisionally approved for 2025/26 but subject to final university approval and potential changes.
