This course provides insight into key disciplines linking exercise and nutrition to health, while developing practical skills, critical awareness, and proficiencies for professional competence. Graduates are prepared for roles in food/fitness industries, health promotion, lifestyle education, or public health. Study with the Faculty of Health, benefiting from links to nursing, health professions, and psychology, plus accreditation by the Association for Nutrition for direct entry to the Associate Nutritionists register.Enhance employability via optional professional work placements (12 offered between Stages 2 and final year), a Level 3 Personal Training award, and competitive research summer placements in the Biomedical Research Group. Interdisciplinary teaching addresses contemporary lifestyle health issues, laying foundations for postgraduate study in dietetics, physiotherapy, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, and related fields.
