Our three-year BEng Product Design and Manufacture course integrates creativity with engineering principles, offering unique engineering, analytical, and manufacturing content for a technical, real-world perspective on product design. A study abroad year broadens horizons across cultures, while modern facilities—including digital sketching, high-end 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and virtual reality—prepare graduates for industry. Alumni join leading firms like Dyson, Jaguar Land Rover, Unilever, Caterpillar, and L'Oréal.Modules cover manufacturing, materials, ergonomics, and marketing, with projects tackling sectors such as medical, automotive, and electronics, emphasizing mass manufacture and commercial viability. Delivered by industry-experienced staff and practicing designers, the course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers and Institution of Engineering Technology; ranked 1st in the Russell Group (NSS 2024) and top 10 UK for Manufacturing (CUG 2025).
