Economics extends beyond money to the choices we make and their impacts on people, businesses, and governments. Our BSc Economics programme delivers core foundations in macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics, and data analysis, with advanced options in financial, political, behavioural, or development economics. From year one, career support includes automatic membership in the student-led Nottingham Economics and Finance Society (NEFS), offering networking, CV advice, and training. Graduates acquire analytical and problem-solving skills for careers in finance, consulting, public policy, or further study.We rank first in the Russell Group for graduates in sustained employment or further study five years post-graduation (LEO data 2021/22, published 2024) and top 10 in the UK for economics (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025).
