The University of Kansas Photo Media program is committed to evaluating and innovating the field of photography through a rigorous undergraduate curriculum that deeply engages students with this dynamic medium. Through hands-on creation and regular critiques, they develop critical thinking skills to analyze visual content effectively. We invite you to explore our student portfolio.Our facilities are state-of-the-art, featuring two advanced Digital Imaging Labs with 40 workstations, high-capacity inkjet printers up to 44 inches, and cutting-edge scanners. A spacious lighting studio and traditional darkroom, equipped with finishing areas, processing lines, and 20 enlarging stations, support student work. Additionally, an extensive collection of digital and analog equipment is available for checkout, complemented by a new Experimental/Alternative Processes lab, ensuring a comprehensive environment for photographic exploration.
