About the course

This distinctive course offers flexibility to pursue an engineering career in aircraft design from a pilot's perspective or to begin training as a commercial pilot. The compulsory flying component occurs mainly in the final year, provided by a nationally recognised flight centre in the UK or US at a discounted rate, with extracurricular flying opportunities in earlier years, including access to flight simulators. The MEng includes an additional year to deepen expertise in aerospace systems and enhance business and management skills. It is professionally accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Royal Aeronautical Society, ensuring industry-wide recognition of the qualification's quality.
