Our BSc (Hons) Sociology and Psychology degree examines society and the self through key issues like gender, identity, relationships, and social inequalities. The psychology component provides insight into the brain, behaviour, and experience, covering perception, memory, emotion, language development, and abnormal behaviour via experimentation, observation, and measurement. Sociologically, it explores social justice, crime and deviance, and ethnicity, integrating both disciplines to analyse socio-psychological processes shaping individual and societal relationships.Students access modules on social inequalities, global relations, popular culture, gender, identity, and migration, with a strong foundation in sociological theory and opportunities for focused research. Graduates pursue careers in youth and community work, welfare, charities, and local/national government.
