About the course

Our BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling degree explores the human mind and brain, and how counselling and psychotherapy can support individuals with mental health challenges. Ideal for aspiring therapists, counsellors, clinical psychologists, or mental health professionals, it covers cognitive psychology, neuroscience, developmental and social psychology, equipping you with versatile skills valued by employers across sectors.Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), the programme includes a project; achieving at least second-class honours grants Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC)—essential for further training as a Chartered Psychologist. While excellent preparation for postgraduate qualifications, it does not qualify you to practise as a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist.
