About the course

Our Media and Communications degree delivers an academic, creative, and critical understanding of media, equipping students for diverse roles in creative industries. Through practical, critical, research, and industry-focused modules, students produce content across digital media, moving image, art direction, copywriting, and visual/written communications for branding, journalism, and activism—adapting to varied audiences and building versatile portfolios. In years 2 and 3, students select the Digital Cultures pathway (modules in audio-visual practice, social media curation, journalism, and branding) or the Creative Communications pathway (developed with M&C Saatchi’s London HQ, emphasizing advertising content). Taught by academics and professionals, informed by research and practice, the course features industry visits, optional placements, mentorship, public presentations, and coverage of image, text, video, social media, and AI—preparing graduates for careers in branding, advertising, PR, marketing, content management, and more.
