This extended forensic science with criminology degree provides access to industry experts from emergency and counter-terrorism services, offering an ideal foundation for a career in the field. The program covers key subjects such as biology, physiology, forensic geoscience, and chemistry for life sciences, alongside criminology modules on policing, violence in society, and the psychology of terrorism. Hands-on learning includes laboratory sessions and mock crime scene investigations, supported by a foundation year that prepares students for degree-level study through academic writing, computing skills, and subject introductions.Accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, this four-year course mirrors the three-year version but features lower entry requirements and practical facilities like crime scene examination rooms, vehicles, and an entomology lab. It is primarily taught at the Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent, with one day per week at the Greenwich Campus.
