English Language and Literature, BA (Hons), with industry placement

Our English Language and Literature degree integrates the study of English language, communication, and literature. The language strand examines English properties, from word and sentence structure to societal usage, while the literature component explores challenging texts through innovative reading approaches, spanning drama, visual narratives, fiction, and poetry. Students may also pursue a foreign language, complete a work placement, or acquire journalism skills.This course emphasizes two core strands: language analysis (sound, meaning, and use) and English literature. Graduates pursue careers in teaching, interpretation services, journalism, marketing, and publishing.
