Theology and Religious Studies encompasses the study of religion, the Bible, and theology in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal belief, and practice. We are passionate about exploring religion's influence on political and cultural life. Students examine religion's role in humanity's rich textual, cultural, artistic, and philosophical heritage, as well as its impact on politics, conflict, and social attitudes. The programme can introduce a variety of religions or focus on the Christian tradition.Theatre Studies examines the nature and function of theatrical events and theatre culture from critical, historical, and practical perspectives. Glasgow offers a vibrant and diverse theatre and performance scene, with strong departmental links to the theatre and arts sector. This provides opportunities to learn from and collaborate with practitioners of national and international standing.
