This course summary highlights two dynamic fields of study.Theatre Studies explores the essence and role of theatrical events and theatre culture through critical, historical, and practical approaches. Set in Glasgow's vibrant and diverse performance scene, the programme offers strong connections to the theatre and arts sector, enabling students to learn from and collaborate with nationally and internationally acclaimed practitioners.English Language and Linguistics examines the history, structure, and meaning of the English language, providing insights into culture, society, and human identity. Over the past 50 years, we have developed the renowned 'Historical Thesaurus of English', and students gain access to dedicated laboratories for analysing spoken and written language.
