Spanish / Scottish Literature, MA (Hons)

Spanish is the second most widely spoken language globally and serves as an official language in over 20 countries. In Glasgow, staff cover a diverse range of topics, providing opportunities for students to engage with native speakers from various Spanish-speaking regions.Scottish Literature encompasses the study of Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose in English and Scots, from the 14th century to contemporary works. The University hosts the only academic unit in the UK dedicated exclusively to teaching and researching Scottish literature, and it is home to the Centre for Robert Burns Studies. This centre has received over £2 million in funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council to produce a new multi-volume scholarly edition of the works of Scotland's national poet.
