Sociology examines how individuals organize their collective lives, the constraints they encounter, patterns of social behavior, and the causes and effects of social inequalities. A notable feature of our program, praised by external examiners and graduates, is its integration of sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives.History of Art explores why paintings, sculptures, buildings, and designs appear as they do. Students benefit from resources like the University Library and Archives, The Hunterian museum with its world-renowned Hunter, Whistler, and Mackintosh collections, and Kelvin Hall. Additionally, a grant is provided during the third-year break to support visits to relevant museums, galleries, and buildings.
