Scottish Literature, MA (Hons)

Scottish literature examines Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works.The University of Glasgow hosts the UK's only academic unit dedicated exclusively to teaching and researching Scottish literature. It is home to the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which is producing a new multi-volume scholarly edition of the works of Scotland’s national poet. This degree builds critical and creative thinking skills valued by employers, distinguishing arts and humanities graduates. Alumni pursue careers in media, journalism, teaching, research, education, and heritage, securing roles with the BBC, The Herald, National Library of Scotland, publishers, and television production companies.
