About the course

Scottish history examines change and continuity in Scotland’s past. At Glasgow, renowned researchers lead the field across medieval to modern periods. The Centre for Scottish & Celtic Studies fosters a cross-disciplinary approach, encouraging student involvement.Scottish literature studies Scotland’s poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works. Glasgow hosts the UK’s only unit dedicated exclusively to its teaching and research, including the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which produces a new multi-volume scholarly edition of Scotland’s national poet.
