About the course

A degree in Russian enables study of a language with strategic international importance, alongside the richness of Russian culture. The University of Glasgow has a long tradition in teaching Russian and Slavonic languages, with excellent resources in our dedicated language library.Scottish Literature explores Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works. We host the UK's only unit dedicated exclusively to its teaching and research, home to the Centre for Robert Burns Studies producing a new multi-volume scholarly edition of Scotland’s national poet.
