Portuguese / Theology and Religious Studies, MA (Hons)

Portuguese encompasses the study of languages, literatures, and cultures of Brazil, Portugal, and the broader Portuguese-speaking world. At Glasgow, the programme offers diverse opportunities, including small-group work with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil, long-established ties to the Instituto Camões, and full access to the Language Resources Centre with its extensive audiovisual, digital, and printed materials.Theology & Religious Studies examines religion, religions, the Bible, and theology—not in isolation, but in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal belief, and practice. We are committed to exploring how religion influences political and cultural life.
