About the course

Politics is the examination of how power and influence are allocated in society and their effects on decision-making within and between nations. Students will explore a range of topics in politics, including international relations, political theory, and British politics, with opportunities to join our expanding study abroad initiatives.Scottish Literature involves the analysis of Scotland's poetry, drama, fiction, and prose from the 14th century to contemporary works. Our university is home to the UK's only dedicated academic unit for teaching and researching Scottish literature, including the Centre for Robert Burns Studies, which is developing a new multi-volume scholarly edition of Scotland's national poet's works.
