About the course

Nurses, the largest group in the healthcare workforce, play a pivotal role in providing, leading, and coordinating care. They collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across diverse health and social care settings, empowering service users to make informed decisions about their holistic healthcare needs. The University of Glasgow's Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) programme is science-based, featuring anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology taught by specialists in years one and two. With small classes of 50-60 students annually, it offers a supportive learning environment and tops UK league tables: 1st in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025, 1st in the Complete University Guide, and 2nd for General Nursing in the Guardian University Guide. Eligible students meeting SAAS residency criteria can apply for the Paramedic, Nursing and Midwifery Student Bursary via the SAAS website. Graduates, prepared for all care areas, secure employment across the UK and worldwide.
