Mathematics and Physics, MSci (Hons)

Mathematics is a vast, ever-expanding discipline exploring numerical, geometrical, and logical relationships. Our programme offers a wide range of courses in honours years, while our ambassador scheme enables students to gain hands-on teaching experience in schools and develop essential workplace skills.Physics encompasses the experimental and theoretical study of matter, energy, and their interactions—from elementary particles and nuclear/atomic physics to solid-state physics and the origins of the universe. Many staff lead major international projects, including the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and the LIGO gravitational wave observatory.
