**History**: The study of history examines change and continuity in human society over time. At Glasgow, our wide-ranging programme spans medieval to modern eras and global contexts. We deliver small-group teaching, diverse assessments—including real-world tasks like policy papers and blogs—and personalised feedback tutorials. Hosting leading research centres in gender history, war studies, slavery studies, American studies, and Scottish and Celtic studies, our teaching draws on world-class expertise in Scottish, British, European, U.S., and global history, alongside slavery, gender, and war, intelligence, and genocide studies.**Theology and Religious Studies**: This field explores religion, religions, the Bible, and theology in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal belief, and practice. We focus on religion's profound influence on political and cultural life, its role in humanity's textual, cultural, artistic, and philosophical heritage, and its impact on politics, conflict, and social attitudes. The programme offers flexibility to survey various religions or concentrate on the Christian tradition.
