The History of Art programme explores the creation and evolution of paintings, sculptures, buildings, and designs across various media. Students gain access to the University Library and Archives, The Hunterian museum with its renowned Hunter, Whistler, and Mackintosh collections, and Kelvin Hall's innovative resources. In the third year, a grant supports visits to relevant museums, galleries, and sites.Theology and Religious Studies examines religion, scriptures, and theology in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal faith, and practice. It investigates how religion influences cultural and political dynamics, including its roles in human heritage, conflicts, and social attitudes. The curriculum can be tailored to cover diverse religions or focus on Christianity.
