The History of Art program examines the origins and aesthetics of paintings, sculptures, buildings, and various design works across media. Students will access extensive resources, including the University Library and Archives, The Hunterian museum and art gallery with its renowned Hunter, Whistler, and Mackintosh collections, and Kelvin Hall's innovative collections center. Additionally, a grant is provided during the third-year break to support visits to relevant museums, galleries, and buildings.The Italian studies program explores the language and culture of a key EU nation that has shaped Europe's political and artistic landscape. With Glasgow's established tradition in Italian teaching, backed by excellent library resources, courses are delivered in small groups by native speakers, enabling students to achieve high fluency in both written and spoken Italian.
