This degree programme examines cinema and television as key forces of enjoyment and knowledge in modern culture, combined with Spanish, the world's second most spoken language and official in over 20 countries.At the University of Glasgow, leading Film & Television Studies researchers deliver expert teaching, bolstered by ties to local creative organisations (e.g., talks from policymakers and practitioners on Media & Cultural Policy). Students explore diverse topics with native Spanish speakers from across the Spanish-speaking world. Honours students spend third year abroad, typically as British Council language assistants in Spain or Latin America, or at a partner university. The programme prepares graduates for media, arts, cultural, teaching, and PR roles; recent destinations include BBC Studios production coordinator, PR assistant at a creative agency, and BFI diversity analyst.
