This degree programme examines cinema and television as key forces of enjoyment and knowledge in modern culture, while sociology explores how people organize their lives, the constraints they face, patterns of social behaviour, and the causes and consequences of inequalities.At the University of Glasgow, Film & Television Studies lecturers are leading researchers who integrate their expertise into teaching, supported by strong ties to Glasgow’s creative organizations (e.g., talks from policymakers and practitioners in Media & Cultural Policy). The Sociology programme uniquely blends sociological, criminological, and anthropological perspectives, praised by examiners and graduates.
