Over the past 50 years, we have developed the world-renowned Historical Thesaurus of English, a unique tool for tracking the semantic growth of its vast vocabulary. Students also gain access to specialized laboratories for analyzing spoken and written language.Scottish History at Glasgow explores the dynamics of change and continuity in Scotland's past. Our faculty includes leading researchers spanning medieval to modern eras, and the Centre for Scottish and Celtic Studies promotes a crossdisciplinary approach, actively involving students in this vibrant field.
