Classics encompasses the study of ancient Greece and Rome's literature, history, art, and material culture. Students may pursue Latin and/or Greek languages at any level, with opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of the program.Theology and Religious Studies allows beginners to learn Greek and Hebrew, enabling direct engagement with original texts from the Hebrew Bible and New Testament. This discipline explores religion, the Bible, and theology in relation to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art, culture, personal beliefs, and practices. Open to all faiths and none, it features experts on Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism within their cultural, political, and intellectual contexts, supported by a knowledgeable staff at Glasgow.
