About the course

Classics involves the scholarly examination of literature, history, art, and material culture from ancient Greece and Rome. Students can pursue Latin and/or Greek language studies at any level, with opportunities to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of the program.Philosophy entails a rigorous, reasoned approach to addressing fundamental questions about knowledge, existence, morality, science, and human nature. The department offers reading parties in the Highlands, supports a thriving undergraduate Philosophy Society, and hosts the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience.
