The Classics program explores the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome. Students may study Latin and/or Greek at any level and participate in visits to archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of the curriculum.Studying Italian delves into the language and culture of a key EU country influential in Europe's political and artistic development. At Glasgow, this field benefits from a longstanding teaching tradition, robust library resources, and small-group instruction by native speakers, enabling students to achieve high fluency in written and spoken Italian.
