Celtic Studies / Classics, MA (Hons)

Celtic Studies combines language learning with courses on medieval and modern Celtic cultures of the British Isles, while Classics explores the literature, history, art, and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome, with Latin and/or Greek available at any level.At the University of Glasgow, study Celtic-speaking peoples' cultures with leading researchers and learn a Celtic language. Classics students visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece; Honours students receive funding for up to three weeks abroad post-year 3. Year 3 options include study abroad in Europe (e.g., Athens, Rome), Australia, New Zealand, or North America. Graduates pursue diverse careers in teaching, museums, heritage, publishing, music, entrepreneurship, consultancy, finance, law, accountancy, IT, civil service, librarianship, or academia.
