Aerospace Systems, MEng (Hons)

Aerospace Systems focuses on the design and application of onboard systems in aircraft and spacecraft, enhancing vehicle operation and performance.At the University of Glasgow, students engage in hands-on laboratories, including jet engine testing and flight-testing in a Saab 340B aircraft during the MEng's fifth year. Opportunities extend to an industry-sponsored UAV lab, industry-based MEng projects, site visits, and sponsorship for national (IMechE) and international (AIAA) competitions. The MEng allows fifth-year projects in Europe, with partner universities in the USA and Australia for third-year study. Growing demand for aerospace systems engineers in software/hardware design, simulation, and expert systems offers strong prospects; alumni have joined QinetiQ, Logica, BAE Systems, Thales, and Unisys.
