This program combines a strong foundation in film and television studies with the exploration of a language and its culture. Students will learn specialized terminology for film analysis, key concepts related to cinema and national identity, and themes of space, time, and identity. It offers an international approach to film history and theory, drawing from expertise across American, Asian, European, and African cinemas from the 19th century to the present. The third year includes studying abroad to develop language skills.
