English and Media and Communications, BA (Hons)

This course offers an immersive literary study that enhances language skills within cultural contexts, while examining innovations in literature through historical and national lenses. Students will develop practical and professional abilities, preparing them for careers in creative industries or any field demanding expertise in communications.A diverse selection of modules supports interdisciplinary approaches between literary and visual culture. On-campus resources include Special Collections on renowned writers, the unique Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, and the Digital Humanities Lab. With Exeter's UNESCO City of Literature status, participants can engage in events featuring internationally acclaimed authors, actors, and filmmakers.
