About the course

Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour and the mind, exploring how nature, nurture, biology, culture, genes, and environment shape thoughts, feelings, and actions. You will critically evaluate contemporary theories, engage with research evidence, and develop your own ideas through research-led teaching in small and large groups. UEA’s School of Psychology ranks 14th for research quality in Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience (Times Higher Education REF 2021). Supported by an academic advisor, Learning Enhancement, and Wellbeing Teams, you will complete a four-week pre-arrival module to ease into university life. The BSc Psychology bridges behavioural and social sciences, applying theories to real-world issues via qualitative and quantitative methods. Choose from diverse modules, switch pathways after year one, and undertake an independent research project in year three. Gain employer-valued skills with career support, including placements and internships. Graduates enter HR, teaching, media, research, marketing, healthcare, and justice, or pursue postgraduate study.
