About the course

Our BSc Midwifery degree balances theoretical study with practical placements, equipping you with the essential skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities to excel as a midwife. Graduates will be prepared to serve as the primary practitioner for pregnant individuals and their families throughout pregnancies, including managing and coordinating complex care for those with additional needs. In UEA's innovative program, you will explore the latest research underpinning midwifery practices, develop critical analysis and evidence evaluation skills, and learn to assess patients individually while making informed judgments. Practical placements will consolidate your learning, while the course builds in-depth expertise in newborn examinations and supporting new parents emotionally and physically during breastfeeding and bonding.Course details are subject to change; please confirm information on the UEA website at www.uea.ac.uk.
