Chemistry, MChem (Hons), with industry placement

Chemistry profoundly influences our daily lives, from the materials we create to the medicines we use, by elucidating molecular interactions essential for addressing global challenges like climate change and disease eradication. This MChem Chemistry programme follows a structured curriculum, enabling students to undertake a 10- to 12-month industrial placement in their third year, where they gain hands-on experience in a research-driven environment, fully integrating into a team after initial training.The course is grounded in cutting-edge chemical research, delivered through lectures, workshops, tutorials, and laboratory sessions, allowing students to specialise in their interests during the final years and complete an individual research project.
