You will integrate theatre practice with theoretical research and analysis, covering key areas such as workshop preparation, rehearsal strategies, directing, and stagecraft. The entrepreneurship component emphasises practical, real-world learning, bridging theoretical frameworks with business realities through academic expertise.Learning occurs via practice-led studio exercises, lectures, seminars, and one-on-one tutorials, supplemented by self-directed study and work experience projects. Based at Derby Theatre, you will explore professional roles through placements, collaborate with artists, and engage in international partnerships. Opportunities include networking in artistic, management, marketing, and technical departments, plus an optional entrepreneurship placement year to enhance employability and apply skills in professional settings.
