About the course

The B.S. in Sport and Exercise Science program features three specialized tracks: Coaching and Human Performance at the Orlando campus, and Community Sport and Fitness at the South Lake campus. The Coaching track is designed for students interested in coaching across various levels and sports, including strength and conditioning. It integrates theoretical coursework with practical field and laboratory experiences, while offering partial fulfillment of the Athletic Coaching Endorsement. Full endorsement eligibility may require additional criteria from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE); for more information, visit http://www.fldoe.org/edcert/.The Human Performance track suits those pursuing careers in sport science, health promotion, medicine, wellness, sports medicine, and allied health fields such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and cardiac rehabilitation. The Community Sport and Fitness track prepares students for roles in university athletic programs, community sports organizations, and private or public fitness, recreation, and multipurpose facilities.
