Track 3: Early Childhood Careers is an A.S. to B.S. degree program designed for Seminole State College (SSC) students who hold an A.S. in Early Childhood. Offered exclusively at the Lake Mary-Sanford UCF Campus, this track enables eligible SSC students to advance their professional development by meeting UCF and program-specific admission requirements. The curriculum includes courses on early childhood careers, professional roles in quality programming, and child development, preparing students to support infants, children, and families in diverse settings. It builds a strong foundation for roles at Head Start and Early Learning Centers, with students maintaining a faculty-reviewed Professional Portfolio throughout the program, culminating in a semester-long practicum. Note that this B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Education does not result in teacher certification.
