Design Engineering, BEng (Hons)

This comprehensive course is designed to cultivate exceptional, innovative design engineers capable of leading complex projects and creating new products, processes, and services essential to contemporary society.Following a broad introductory year, students delve deeper into design methodology and professional practices. The first two years feature specialized units that build key skills in problem definition, conceptual design, detailed design, analysis, and manufacturing processes. In the final year, participants can select advanced technical units across the Faculty of Engineering, allowing for enhanced expertise in engineering fields and interdisciplinary learning relevant to modern, multidisciplinary design. A significant research project completes the program.
