Optometry is a healthcare profession focused on examining, diagnosing and treating the human eye and visual system. With an ageing population, demand for eye care is rising, positioning optometrists to meet this need across both NHS and private practice. Our redesigned four-year Master of Optometry (MOptom) programme modernises content and structure, enabling graduates to register directly as fully qualified optometrists with the General Optical Council (GOC). Upon completion, you will be a skilled, patient-focused practitioner ready for modern practice, eligible to register with the GOC and work independently in the UK. You will also possess strong clinical and communication skills, ensuring high employability and readiness for lifelong professional development.
