The Fine Art course encompasses a wide range of contemporary practices, including painting, video, photography, sculpture, drawing, performance, printmaking, time-based work, and studies in history and theory. It delivers practical, philosophical, contextual, and professional aspects through blended learning in studios and online environments.Studio practice focuses on developing individual art practices with tutorial guidance, individual advice, and group critiques to foster critical understanding. Workshops cover techniques in painting, printmaking, wood and metalwork, moulding, casting, audio-visual, video, photography, and plastics, extending to site-specific, public, online, interactive, and installation-based works. History and theory modules enhance knowledge of historical and contemporary art, teaching analytical writing and academic skills. The largest library in Northern Ireland offers extensive resources, including art books, journals, films, and artists' collections. Materials for demonstrations are provided, with students purchasing their own and an optional £100 annual contribution.
