About the course

This dual honours degree in Economics and Mathematics integrates advanced mathematical and technical skills with their application to real-world economic issues and policy. Economics and mathematics complement each other, fostering analytical skills for sound economic reasoning and effective problem-solving. In the first year, students focus primarily on mathematics modules alongside foundational microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis. In years two and three, they select modules across both disciplines for a personalized balance, with an optional year-long paid work placement in the UK after year two.Research-informed teaching by experts ensures modules reflect cutting-edge research. The course offers variety, flexibility, and specialization from a broad economic foundation, plus strong career prospects: 93.8% of 2020 economics graduates were employed or in further study 15 months post-graduation (2020-21 Graduate Outcomes Survey, UK undergraduates).
