Our degree provides an excellent pathway into physical education careers in the UK and abroad, enabling graduates to register with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS). It equips you to advocate for and contribute to a better world through teaching, supported by a vibrant community of over 400 students—the largest undergraduate PE cohort in the UK. We prioritise equality, diversity, and inclusion, fostering an inclusive environment, and boast high-quality staff engaged in cutting-edge research that connects theory to real-world practice.Our programme is guided by four principles: applied learning, opportunity, connection, and community. You will develop skills through school placements, courses across the university, and a focus on social justice and sustainability, while building a reflective practitioner identity. We also offer a mental health and wellbeing programme in partnership with Place2Be, and provide qualified teacher status for secondary education in England and Wales.
