Ancient History, MA (Hons)

The MA in Ancient History program focuses on the history of ancient Greece and Rome, while also exploring other civilizations that interacted with them, such as Judaea, Persia, and the Byzantine Empire.This program contextualizes Graeco-Roman history within its broader Mediterranean framework, covering aspects like religious, social, economic, political, and cultural developments. Students will engage with diverse sources, including works by historians like Herodotus and Tacitus, as well as inscriptions, papyri, and archaeological evidence.
