The BNurs curriculum embodies the complexities of our healthcare system, providing an interprofessional perspective on patient care. Students participate in clinical practice blocks and research-based projects, aimed at enhancing critical thinking and practical skills.Topics include mental health nursing, care for older persons, child and family health, Māori and Pacific health, medical and surgical nursing, as well as management and leadership in nursing. Upon successful completion, graduates can apply for registration as comprehensive nurses with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
