What you will learn

The modules of this course are broken down into 6 unique pathways; Media Theory, Digital Media, Journalism, Film, Public Relations, and Creative Practice. Students can follow whichever pathways aligns to thier interests and objectives, or they can choose a mix of modules from the pathway to aquire a variety of skills. You can study 80 credits or more of this course through the medium of Welsh. Each year of the course has dedicated Welsh language taught modules within each pathway. Your first year will include a mixture of compulsory and optional modules, with examples of compulsory modules from recent years including: • Delivering and Decoding the News • Introduction to Media History Your second and third years will comprise entirely optional modules from an expansive range of subject areas. Examples of optional modules in recent years have included: • Introduction to Writing Fiction • Studying Digital Media • Writing for Radio and Screen • Documentary Film Making and Broadcasting • Digital Futures Your final year will include an optional independent dissertation project.
